awesome stuff. what trumpet soundbank do you use?

endKmusic responds:

Thanks Sequenced! :>
It's from one of the Nexus packs, dance orchestra I guess.

stick to making this kind of stuff. any chance Age of Mythology inspired you?

really excellent call/answer melodies you got. I definitely feel the war calling energy in this one.

the bridge at 2:50 did not sound like part of this track at all. maybe branch out to the melody themes you already had in the first half.

LOVE those swelling pitch bends on those trombone/brass stab hits. keep doing this stuff. love it.

so good to see newgrounds people I've seen grow in the past couple years. keep doing you man. quality stuff.

etherealwinds responds:

thank you so much :) believe it or not, I've grown a lot since this track too haha!

i like this a lot. Got that old school acid/deep 90s vibe.

keep at it.

Been purging the audio portal house genre list..

glad to find someone who really understands this genre!

production quality is decent. I dig the bass line.

not too fan of those vocal samples during the breakdown. Just keep it funky.

nice work!

Not bad! This sounds really good actually. If you arranged this into a full 4-5 minute track, that would be cool.

Fix up the mix a little bit. Some of your melodic instruments get muffled.

Keep going, followed!

etK responds:

Thanks a lot !! :D

this could really do without that dance part.

Everratic responds:

That's my favorite part :)

This is more big room than prog to be honest.

Work on your mix. The leads are to loud, and the drums do not really stick out because of loudness of the leads.

There isn't really any bass. You can pump that up a bit more.. make a better fill than the one in 3:29. It's pretty generic.

but yeah. Take more time on your mix. Make sure all of your synths blend nicely and do not pierce any ears.

This is a future bass song, not really House. Keep this under dubstep. The vocal stuff at 2:03 is pretty cool.

The mix sounds ok. Not a fan of that weird off beat hihat on your first drop after 1:00

The breakdown has too many risers/falls.

It's decent. keep at it.

GerboPawa responds:

i know it is future bass, and it doesnt have anything to do with dubstep

the hi hats are not off beat, so i dont know what you're talking about.

i get what you said about the risers/falls, listening to the song again i feel like i could have used less.

thank you for your criticism, but i suggest you to check my other and better songs (i've even said that i made this in a day just for fun; i haven't put too much effort into this).

Work on your mix. Your lead synths are too loud. change up the chord progression too. It's played out for the entire song.

Change a different fx for 3:29. Those risers are way overused.

do not use those "hype" builds for this type of stuff. If your mix doesn't have the crispyness and clarity, it will never sound good.

I would do some research on progressive house too.. look up artists like guy j, darin epsilon, cid inc - on youtube. Those artists can give you an idea of what sound you should be striving for in this genre.
