Yeah, the song is way too loud. almost no room for dynamics during your breakdown.

definitely need to tighten up the mix so that your kick can be more clear. your low end is cluttered and lead synths have too much high end.

cool synth solo. i liked that choir 'aah' sample for your fills.

Yesss dude the choir part was my fav. It was like one of the first things I added and it really got me excited to work on the track more.

The drums, as I told TL, were really sloppy because of my poor education lol. I was using a vst kit, so I didn't know how to split the kick from the rest of the drums, which made limiting and mixing a pain. Although, I swore I took off as much high end on the synths as possible, I might have forgotten to filter one.

ah. some classic progressive house. I miss this sound a lot.

reminds me a lot of the old sound of anjunabeats/anjunadeep back in the mid 00's.

really not fan of those big room snares. it just kills the vibe for me.

I needed a longer break from that lead.

I'm a big fan of darker, more percussion focused groovy progressive house music than this melodic big room stuff, so I'm probably quite bias on this.

decent. your fill transition towards the break could use more work. its too stagnant.

and the 2nd part just sounds like a copy past from the first section.

mix sounds pretty good. the high end is just enough to where it doesn't peak, but its really crisp.

definitely reminds me of the ol' DnB NG genre back in the day.

melodically this is beautiful. good selection of instruments.. good themes.

the mixing could use a little more work. certain frequencies peak on my end.

We totally see (hear) what you mean, especially in the mp3 version. That said, it's definitely true to some extent in the wav too. Perfect production wasn't our main focus for this competition; we really wanted to tell the same story as in the art. It's great that you liked the piece despite some imperfections! We both want to improve the track a bit more, after the competition, having heard and considered critiques. Thanks for the review!
